The artistic project of Daniel Svarre overall revolves around the social constructs and not least the personal voids that occur when an individual is feeling diffuse, alienated and insufficient in social communities. Basing on his own upbringing, point of view and gender, Svarre looks into the masculine alienation from different angles such as group identity, loneliness and deprivation. Daniel Svarre works primarily in a sculptured and spacious idiom, where he alternates between different materiales, and where the artworks often takes the formal starting point in recognizable everyday objects.
