In Maj-Britt Boa's photographic works, she often points to a non physical place or time between what was and what will come. Time as such and the intermediate stages between human states such as life and death, as child and adult, and awake and asleep are often the focal point for the way her works are articulated. This ongoing search often take the photographs into an intimate space where a door to a private sphere is opened and reflected, always as a common experience. In addition, Maj-Britt Boa often works in large scale installations, creating a very physical space to involve the viewer in mental states, memories and emotions.
