ELLEN HYLLEMOSE

In our Viewing room we are currently presenting a series of new and recent works by Ellen Hyllemose.
In her work, Hyllemose is focusing on the landscape as a motif, not the grand, overwhelming landscapes but the overlooked, culural landscapes, where traces of humans are present; in the farmed land, the un-dramatic landscape, the beach with washed up traces of humans, the layers between the elements and the view from the window.
The presentation features wall-hung works, both landscape portraits and map-like drawings on masonite. 

We are also presenting “Landscape seen from the side”, Ellen Hyllemose’s new, richly illustrated catalog with text by professor and author, Erik Steffensen, and a book extract from anthropologist Cecilie Rubow’s book, Indendørsmenneskets natur. The book was published in connection to Ellen Hyllemose’s recent solo exhibition at Kunsthal Møstings Hus in Frederiksberg.
