In his practice, John M Armleder combines abstraction, readymade, sculpture, performance and installation, defying categorization. His works are in a state of constant change: everything, as it happens in real life, naturally flows from one form to another. Since the early 80’s, John Armleder’s paintings have been very much related to the post-modern era by reusing well known avant-garde aesthetics. In this case he employs those aesthetic techniques visually, combining them with popular culture.
